2009 Action Team Roster
Action Teams are currently at work in 20 locations: Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Mobile, New York, Oakland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Portland (ME), San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, Washington, DC and more than 30 online cities.
Players from Major League teams are recruited by the Players Trust to work with each Action Team. Among the players currently taking part as leaders of the Action Teams are:
- Boston Red Sox: David Ortiz, and Jason Varitek
- Chicago Cubs: Ryan Dempster, Aaron Heilman, Koyie Hill and Ryan Theriot
- Chicago White Sox: Jake Peavy (Mobile Action Team)

- Cleveland Indians: Josh Barfield and Jamey Carroll
- Colorado Rockies: Josh Fogg, Ryan Spillborghs and Huston Street
- Detroit Tigers: Nate Robertson
- Houston Astros: LaTroy Hawkins, Hunter Pence and Chris Sampson
- Minnesota Twins: Joe Mauer and Nick Punto
- New York Mets: Alex Cora, JJ Putz and Brian Schneider
