Aging With Options™ Press Event June 2009

Volunteers of America hosted a panel discussion on the future of care for older Americans at the National Press Club on Monday, June 8. The discussion pointed out the fact that the nation faces one of the most dramatic demographic shifts in its history. A projected 71.5 million Americans will be age 65 or older by the year 2030 – almost double the 37 million seniors today.

Sacramento's Street Soccer Team

Five formerly homeless men, who are working their way back to the mainstream thanks to Sacramento’s Mather Community Campus program, were among the six members of Sacramento’s Street Soccer USA Cup 2009 team, which competed in Washington, D.C this past July.
