Transitional Housing

Volunteers of America’s transitional housing programs are operated with one goal in mind — to help individuals and families obtain permanent housing as quickly as possible.  Our programs serve diverse populations — from women and children who are victims of domestic violence to homeless veterans who have spent years living on the streets.

Featured Program: Helping Victims of Domestic Violence in the Carolinas

Volunteers of America of the Carolinas’ Willow Pond transitional housing program in Wilmington, N.C., meets a critical community need by providing 12 apartment style units, along with intensive case management to women and their children fleeing domestic violence with no other place to go.
